Great Facial Routine Upgrade!
I recently started using the Tooletries Men’s Face Scrubber, and it has quickly become an essential part of my daily grooming routine! The silicone material is not only durable but also incredibly gentle on my skin. It provides just the right amount of exfoliation without being harsh, effectively removing dead and dry skin.

I’ve seen all the criticisms about Tooletries bathroom apparel as being overpriced and being able to get similar performance from the non-brand Chinese silicone scrubbers etc and for me this simply is not the case.I’ve been through quite a few silicone scrubbers as no kind of fabric material seems to be soft enough for my face to not cause irritation, but also paradoxically not clean efficiently. i moved onto silicone scrubbers a year or two back and even wasted money on one of those absolutely rubbish and extremely overpriced Foreo Lunas(Note to self: need to review that overpriced, aggressively marketed garbage at some point)to my extreme disappointment was even less effective than using my hands to clean.Give or take 10 or so purchases of various Amazon only silicone scrubbers i was becoming a little jaded with them all as they had the same issue the Foreo did, they don’t really seem to scrub anything and simply move the cleanser around on your face. about a month ago there was a limited time offer on the Tooletries scrubbers which usually retail at about 15 quid a pop which i found to be laughable considering the nature of the product, but 10 quid was just about reasonable and i was kind of desperate to find something that would clean my face proper as i was having an ongoing issue with closed comedones from years of ineffective facial cleansingI used the Tooletries scrubber for the first time about 2 weeks ago and my god, what a difference. i honestly cannot even compare the performance of this versus those non-brand ones as it feels almost if though i am using a completely different product. this thing scrubs deep in the pores got all those close comedones out on one double cleanse (face oil followed by water cleanser)with no exfoliation necessary (not a fan to be honest of exfoliation)but it is not even vaguely irritating and i say that as somebody with skin so sensitive that a very light scrubbing with a terry cloth or microfiber cloth would cause redness that wouldn’t shiftI already bought the “firm”option to use every other week from the Tooletries website(it aint available on Amazon)and will probably give their body scrubber a try tooSeriously, i doubt half the people who reviewed this even gave it a chance. this is miles better than those non-brand scrubbers on Amazon and i stand by that claim.I do think it is maybe a little overpriced though for what it retails for, but can you really complain about a price if something works for you and it stops you wasting your money on cheaper and in this case inferior products?Cleaning is easy. i just squish some dish washer liquid between the bristles and run hot water through em, shake all the excess water off, then place it in the microwave on a low heat for about 30-40 seconds. it’s silicone so it wont melt at the temperature a microwave can reach and it wont release any endocrine disrupting chemicals etc. if you are weary of using the microwave, you can always place it on a microfiber cloth or paper towel to air dry (the former will be faster)Anyways, i highly recommend the Tooletries facial scrubbers if you can get them at a reduced price

I actually own a couple of these. The best value is the kit with the wall mount. It does NOT stick on with adhesive of any kind, it’s just surface tension. This means it can be moved/removed with ease, but it will stay in place so long as you put it on a flat surface that won’t allow air or soap to get behind it. If I had a criticism of the wall mount, I’d say the little cup to hold the scrub handle could use a small hole in the bottom, in case water gets in there. It’s not a big deal, but silicone is supposed to be hygienic, but standing water is never good over long terms.The scrubber itself is quite gentle, but lathers well. You can put soap right on the bristles, or on your face first and rub this over it. I’ve found either works, with putting it right on the bristles having the slight edge. This is small enough to cover your face, without being too big or too delicate. The silicone is soft enough that you can work it behind your ears or along your nose, and it will bend to get in there.As a side note, I have a second one of these that I use exclusively for my feet. This small form factor allows me to get soap right between my toes and gently scrub. My feet work hard, but this thing really keeps them in good order. I do not have athlete’s foot, but I have had dry skin between my toes at times. This keeps my toes nice and clean, and prevents any issues. If you’ve got some issues with fungus or dry skin, I recommend trying one of these to apply soap and scrubbing away the issue. Silicone will withstand some of the harsher solutions as well…but I’d keep the foot one for exclusive use there, just as a precaution.
