Customers find the tent easy to set up, aesthetically pleasing, and appreciate its spacious design with overhead storage and ventilation. The material quality is good, and it performs well in storms and flash floods, though opinions about durability are mixed. The size receives mixed feedback – while it fits in the original bag, one customer notes the windows are too small, and customers disagree on the weight, with some finding it heavy.

Mansion of a tent
This tent was amazing, and minor issue. Pros: Stored dimensions fit perfectly in the bed of my 61″ Tacoma bed. No need to shove it in diagonally. Setup was quick and painless. No more dealing with the awkward shimmying trying to get dressed while horizontal on a sleeping pad. Plenty of room inside for 2 reclining lounge chairs, and walking space around 2 cots. Having a ‘living room’ was a luxurious change of pace for my wife and I. We can’t wait to use it in the summer and enjoy the screen room with friends. Quality felt good, seams looked sealed, and the tent did not leak after 2 nights of rain before I had a chance to add additional waterproofing. Minor issue: The rainfly in the photos feature triangular flaps to fully cover the pvc windows of the ‘bedroom’. The rainfly that came with the tent did not come with those flaps. Looking through other reviews, I’ve seen that those windows can leak when it rains. As such, I brought an extra tarp that I cut to the size of the triangular sections, and secured in place under the provided rainfly to keep rain off the windows. On another note, I’m short and if I had to put up the main rainflu alone, it would probably be a harder task, but I can’t be mad since the height of the tent means my wife and I can stand up fully inside. After the trip, tear down was much easier than I anticipated. As long as you roll tightly, there aren’t any issues putting it back in the storage bag.

We love this tent!
We have the 4-5 person version with the awning. It’s very easy to setup and take down. It goes back into the bag fairly easy every time. We bought this to have a quick tent for quick weekending trips but we just used it for a 5 day camping trip with a queen air mattress in it and all of our gear and still had plenty of room. Love the clear window you can have open while it’s raining out and all of the other windows on the corners create a nice 360 degree view and plenty of ventilation. Also it’s very nice being able to stand up all the way inside. As others have mentioned the bag is huge and heavy, this isn’t a backpacking tent. It’s perfect if you can park pretty close to your campsiteThe picture with the park bench was after a night of 30-40mph sustained winds on top of a mountain. The awning looks a little sagged but everything held up through the night!

4-5 person
Pros: Nice overlanding tent. Sets up really quickly and is well ventilated. It’s also huge. With the pop up hubs it is a much bigger tent than a dome tent with the same footprint. It’s not all that heavy but it’s for car camping and not backpacking. The bag that comes with it is sufficient but not beefy.Additions/Cons: Only comes with one cinching strap. With a couple more getting it back in the bag is way easier. Easily solved but it would have been nice if it came with three instead of one.The stakes that come with it are a joke. It’s annoying that they waste your time providing such poor quality stakes. This is a huge tent and a very big target for wind so you definitely want to get some upgraded stakes.I also got a heavy canvas tarp for a footprint to protect the floor and keep it cleanish. With the non square shape, it’s somewhat hard to find something for a footprint and it would be nice if the company offered one.I really like the value that this tent provides as I was between this and the Gazelle T4 Plus. This isn’t as heavy or as heavy duty materials as the Gazelle so I intend to baby it a bit to keep it in good condition, but on the flip side of that it weighs less and has a smaller bag for packing in the car. I will update this if it falls apart after a few uses.

Strong in storms and flash floods!
This tent is awesome! It has withstand several storms in 3 days. Every night we have had severe thunderstorms and flash flood one night. Camping! Always crazy. No leaks whatsoever! It withstood the winds, the rain and flooding. We have a queen air mattress on one end and 4 chairs and a card table at the other end. Nice and roomy and so glad we bought it. Fast set up and fast take down! I was worried about the sides but it is so strong.

Great tent but with some MAJOR flaws.
I setup and tore down the tent 3 times (in my basement, not outside) to ensure I knew how to do it, here is my experience.-Easy to unpack and setup but difficult to pack back up due to all the air that get trapped. A removable floor or bigger windows would fix this.-The three support poles will not last. The one over the door is useless it just rolls around. The two supporting the sides will break if you put them in the support notches because they need to flex too much. Without those supports the top of the screen room will collapse with very little pressure.-Speaking of the poles, there are only 3 so if you want to use the tarp as an awning then you will either need to steal the ones from the door sides or buy some.-When you put the tarp over the tent you sweat to death because it kills most of the airflow. The 3 vents and the 6 windows are too small in the tent area and there are no vent options in the screen room area. If it rains you are going to miserable because you can’t open any of the windows because the tarp does not cover them.-The absolute deal breaker for me are the 3 clear plastic windows (tent area, 1 in back and 1 on each side. There is just a flap that covers it and it hangs loose. The issue is not only do they let in a massive amount of light but from the outside you can peer into the tent. This is the only place to put the bed so you will see whomever is laying under the windows. This last reason is why my wife absolutely refuses to sleep in this tent so I have no option to return it.If these things don’t matter to you then buy this tent because it is a really nice. IMO the build quality is better than Coleman and Core. For me, if Timber Ridge were to fix those then this tent would be perfect.Since I’m returning it I did not test to see how water proof it was.
