    10 Galaxies outta 10))))))))))
Cellphones have come a long way. This S22 is phenomenal.I never did care for the iPhone restrictions, and have alwaysliked the freedom that Android brings. I record all my own musicand other entertainment, and Android makes that easier.I have Samsung TVs, tablets, watches, phones, and everythingmeshes perfectly together. I can watch Samsung’s TV channelson my phone, and there are a lot of stations. My faves are Protennis, news, and Pickleball. All the apps work perfectly on the s22.It has been glitch free. What is the best feature of the S22, the camera of course. It is saidto be better than the iPhone, and I have seen some tests, buthonestly I cannot tell from the way these people run tests. If you aretaking pictures of food, a jigsaw puzzle, vacation landscape shots, facialphotos, the quality is excellent, and the best cellphones offer. WTS, it is noton par with a picture I can take with my Canon cameras. BUT, doingrestaurant or bar pics, food, jigsaw puzzles, faces, the quality is amazing.I would need to do a lot of work with a real camera to get the qualitythat the S22 pumps out on some of these types of photos. It is alsonice that you can take a pic and email it right there. Texting photos, don’t do it.The quality sucks when texted. There isn’t enough megabytes in the networksto text photos that look good. I also have Adobe Lightroom on the phone forvery good editing on the run. Most of the photos that you take with a Samsungneed no editing, unless you are shooting into the sun or in challenging light. The pictures are generally perfect the first time. I’ve taken some spring photosof trees and flowers lately in sunny conditions and they are perfect, BAM. Thecamera has other tricks up its sleeve, lots of them, and more than you probablywill ever use. It has PRO MODE, and I generally need it for challenging light scenes.BUT, the normal mode still always beat PRO MODE hands down. Supposedly, there is astar shoot setting for this camera, which I haven’t tried yet. Also, another UBER feature of thecamera, also not tried yet, is a 100Megapixel photo setting. My Canon cameras only offer ameasly 24 or 26 MPs, but yes, that does not equate or compare properly, in reality. There are many other features, but I will mention two others, hyperlapse, and expert RAWphotos for better processing.Video on this phone is ridiculously awesome, and better than even the great stillcamera. I have done quite a few terribly lit racquetball matches, and they simply lookprofessional in 4k. I put these videos on my 4k TV and the phone video did even a morespectacular job of making the dingy court brighten up and sparkle with light that didn’teven exist before. The players movements were spot on too. The video is top notch.I have a small plastic mount for it that holds the phone, and can be tripod’d or set on a table. The video is what beats my Canon cameras video. They will only do HD at 60fps. I have aslo-mo video I did of a small dam where water is going thru multiple chutes, and have thatas my lockscreen, and I show that off to people all the time, looks way cool. There are two versions of slo-mo video too.The slo-mo feature even has a normal speed which then switches to super slo, awesome. The last camera feature that I think a lot of people will use and like a lot, Panorama mode.I have had Panorama ability on several cell phones, and they always were hit and miss. Ihave yet to miss with the S22. The Panoramas are stunning. I did some at Mount Lassenand everyone turned out perfect. Fool proof. The tech is top notch on this feature.I’m going to stop now, and may add something later if I think of it.My Samsung Note 8 had a burned in screen and instead of fixing it for $300, I parlayedthat into a new S22 on Amazon. What a difference. I use the phone on this phone lessthan almost all the other features. I needed a phone for a trip after I cancelledthe services on the Note8, got the S22, and this is definitely the best phone out there.

    Had it over 2 yrs
I love this phone.. I’ve had it since November 2022. This is why I don’t write many reviews, so I can basically see what’s up with a product. I’ve dropped this phone on cement couple of times and it got thrown around (dropped on the corner, or pressure being put on it from me working around the house and carrying heavy things) nothing happened to it. I don’t have a screen protector just a case, but my screen looks perfect.. even though the phone gets mishandled in my pockets with keys and such. The camera in my opinion is still better then iphones newest one, when I zoom in on the moon I can see craters. I laugh at people who have iphones and don’t want to try samsung. All in all I’m sticking with samsung… I go where there’s quality. Btw.. if I dropped any iphone as many times as this one… I’d would need to repair the screen or case many many times on there.. my friend said her iphone dropped off her bed and cracked. I couldn’t understand that, until she repeated it 2 times again. That was nightly for me with my old samsung 20 fe. Never cracked, not even when it dropped 30 feet.. just died inside but still no crack. Lol hence this phone.

    Another great Samsung phone
There are many good in-depth reviews posted here on practically every aspect of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 so I won’t attempt to improve on ground already covered. I’ll just tell you about some of the features that sold me on the new S22 phone. I am coming to the S22 (6.1 inch) from an S20 FE (6.4 inch), a very likeable phone but heavy and a handful to hold. In this regard, I find the smaller size of the S22 and its lighter weight to be much more comfortable in my hand and easier to slip in my pocket. As expected, the S22’s screen is vibrant, sharp, and colorful. The phone’s cameras take excellent photos. The phone’s under-the-screen fingerprint sensor is quick and responsive. I found the initial setup of the S22 to be easy using Samsung’s onboard Switch software to copy the settings and data from my older S20 FE. Checking for updates I found an update to Android 13 and UI 5 waiting for me. Awesome! My only real worry about the S22 were the many reviews reporting poorer than expected battery life. Alarmingly, I also found the S22’s DAY ONE battery life to be pretty disappointing. But before getting all upset over it, I got busy digging into the phone’s many menu options and found a number of adjustments to improve the phone’s battery life. In addition, I discovered that Samsung has incorporated a new AI battery learning feature into the S22 lineup of phones to help improve battery life based on how an individual uses their phone. Cool. The good news, after a fresh charge and after making power saving adjustments, my phone’s battery life has improved dramatically. Hooray! Currently, I’m experimenting with leaving my S22 on power saver mode to see what impact it has on its functionality vs battery life. So far, I haven’t noticed any performance downside by leaving the phone on power save but it has yielded a huge improvement in battery life. In fact, with light usage, texting and checking the news and weather, the phone’s battery monitor reports my battery at 64% after 2 DAYS of service and is predicting I still have 1 DAY and 14 HOURS left. < I do turn my phone off for about 6 hours overnight. > Fantastic! Overall, the S22 checked all the boxes for the features I was looking for in a new phone; smaller size, making it easier to handle, vivid and responsive screen, improved cameras, strong flagship build quality and good looks, extremely good battery life , and it came with an immediate upgrade to Android 13. What’s not to like? The people I don’t recommend this phone to would be those who stream a lot of movies or who like to play graphics intensive games or just want a GIANT phone. Those folks would be better served by the larger and more expensive S22 + or Ultra phones that come equipped with higher capacity batteries. That’s all folks!
