The most important thing to know is that I was wrong
I couldn’t find any other way to let you know that I am going to keep both of my items they were in good shape. I tried them on last night and they didn’t fit so well. I tried them on again this morning and they are fine. I am gonna keep them.

FANTASTI BACK BRACE
i’m 86 and i suffer from back pain. I’ve tried all sorts of braces, BUT this was the absolute finest that i have ever worn. The delivery was super-fast and I put in on and my aches and pains went away immediately. i am wearing it right now and feeling fabulous. Thank you for the marvelous support that it gives. . I ordered regular (47″) and it’s A good fit… I don’t give review, but this IS an exception.

Works well
So far, this one does relieved the pain in my low back. I usually wear in the morning, when my low back is sensitive and has sharp pain. Works well, and better than those elastic ones.

Used or new
This package was received with the box open and the product falling out of the box. I don’t know if this is something that someone returned or it’s a shipping issue.

Best brace I’ve found for driving
As someone who suffers from sciatica problems, I’ve been looking for a decent back brace to help alleviate the pain, especially when driving. I tried several, and this one with the lumbar support really does the trick.I tried a couple of other brands, but Mueller overall produces a great product for a reasonable price. Construction is excellent – seams are tight, ample velcro, easy to put on and take off. I have a 34″ waist and this fits fine — could easily accomodate several more inches.I started with the basic Mueller brace (the one without the lumbar). Nice, but didn’t really help all that much in terms of pain. The higher end Mueller (the one with the laces on the back) was also very nicely made and a snap to adjust, but again, it didn’t offer the support I needed. The lumbar pad on this model makes all the difference. They have videos of several of their models on their website which are very helpful, but they are hard to find — I just stumbled across them by plugging in the model numbers. Good info, but a very poorly organized site.Everyone’s back is different, so unfortunately you’ll need to try out various models to see what hits the sweet spot for your condition. All three Muller braces that I’ve tried were all very well made and a good value, so I can highly recommend the brand.I ended up buying two so I could keep one in the car and one at home. I found that using both lumbar supports next to one another makes the support even better. The lumbar pads attach with velcro, and there is room to fit both on the same belt side-by-side. That works best for me when driving. A single lumbar pad works well for when I’m mobile.I also want to pass along some advice I received from my physical therapist regarding braces. While they can be huge help, you should not wear one constantly since it can lead to muscle atrophy. The ideal situation is to build up your core muscles so they do the job on their own. A brace is just a stop-gap to help cut down on pain on the bad days or when you are stressing the muscles (which, for me, occurs when I’m driving long distances). Used judiciously they’re great; used improperly can make the situation worse. If you’re reading this you probably have back pain, and I very much hope you find the right solution that helps make the situation better or at least more tolerable.

This is not a stiff brace with vertical slats such as those used in physiotherapy, but it’s not just a mere kidney belt either. It is constructed in such a way that it still manages to keep your vertebrae in a correct upright position while allowing you decent freedom of movement, just as long as it’s positioned right and tight enough.I have a L5-S6 crushed disc with improper vertical alignment of the lower spine. I used to wear a fully rigid brace until it wore out but then I started to heal and get back in shape. I tried this first for horseback riding and noticed a real difference in my posture and a lot less pain, allowing me to ride a few hours longer than without it. Then I tried the brace while doing a bit of field work, light construction and menial outdoors tasks and I can honestly say that I wouldn’t have been able to do half the work without it. The fact that it has some flexibility helps you to work comfortably compared to the rigid braces with metal vertical slats. But it won’t ever have the true upright stiffness of rigid braces, so if you’re in a situation where your therapist recommends you use one, don’t skimp out on your purchase by only using this one. Instead, use this one as a backup for when you need a bit more comfort and still need to get a job done.If you’re not in too bad of a shape, have decent abdominals, this fits perfectly. You know it’s doing its job when you take it off after wearing it for a few hours. The sensation is astonishing as you release your back from the brace and realize you have to readjust yourself for a minute or two as your spine has to pick itself back up and support its own weight.
