Great waist brace.
I really love the brace. Using the brace for more than 25 years. I am on my fourth brace. I always carry two at all times. One for the gym and travel and other for work around home and garden.

Great for Low Back Pain, Buy Suspenders Too
I appear to be in the early stages of a herniated disc, with discomfort in my left butt, hip and leg, and tingling sensations in my left leg and foot when standing in one position. It has not yet advanced to actual sciatic pain. My chiropractor suggested I try a back brace to be able to work (where I stand a lot)without the tingling (which is counterproductive). I ordered this brace and use it WITHOUT the little detachable lumbar pad, at my chiropractor’s recommendation. It is really great. It does prevent the tingling and makes my work situation much easier. I tried a different brace before this one but, while it stopped the tingling, it was not as nice or as adjustable. I have a 32″ waist and this brace works very well for a wide range of sizes.I’ve researched pros and cons of braces and one word of advice is to only wear one when it is needed, ideally only a few hours a day, because it can contribute to muscle atrophy. Another caution about braces and lifting: they can cause one to feel overconfident and to lift more than they should and therefore contribute to injury or increased injury, so one has to use common sense. It is ideal if you have a knowledgeable health practitioner who can work with you regarding your ailment (if you have an ailment) and regarding the use of a brace.This is a very well made, high quality brace, which is relatively comfortable (as these things go). It is definitely superior to some of the other braces on the market and I highly recommend it. The the only thing I don’t like about it is that, unlike some braces, it does not come with shoulder straps, which would allow you to loosen it and keep it around your waist when it is not needed. This can be very useful when you use the brace intermittently during the day and need it to be readily available for use. For this purpose, I bought a pair of McGuire-Nicholas “115” heavy duty black suspenders (the type used for holding tool belts, etc.; available on Amazon and at some hardware stores). They are very adjustable and work well for holding the brace when it is loosened.

Easy to use, effective support.
My back was sore so I borrowed this item from my son. It was easy to get on and off, provided support for my sore back, and is slim enough to disappear under my untucked shirt. So, I bought one of my own. It is a narrower than a competitor’s brace, which I also own, but seems to provide more support and is not as restrictive to movement.

Strong but comfortable fit
I recently bought one of these to replace the same item. I had used the same belt almost daily for over 2 years. After doing many house projects and doing months of lawn and gardening projects it was time to replace it with a clean new one. I have tried many other back braces and this is by far my favorite. It’s thick enough that I can put my phone in between me and the belt and it stays secure. Nice when doing lawn work and want your phone close. This belt really gives you support and makes it easier for me to do daily activities. I recently broke a vertebrae and have several herniated discs. This is always the brace I grab when I need it.

Backed me up a good 10 years!
When I’m working (landscape maintenance), I like tight shoes, tight pants and a tight belt. These tight items allowed me to expend all my energy working and not worry about slipping and holding my gut in. This brace allows me to do that and work for positively Hours without tiring. (However I ditched the added lumbar support as it was doing more harm than good for me, but others might find it’s Just the Thing.) It might even be good for back pain, but that’s not what I use it for.I’m guessing it’s reversed my age and work ability a good 5 to 7 years.If I could give it 10 stars I would!

Will not fit a 50″ waist, but fit’s mine.
Item says it fits up to size 50. I have a size 40 waist and I don’t see how anyone larger than me could wear this brace.I ordered a different Mueller brace first (#4581) that said it fit up to size 44 That is ridiculous. I have a size 40 waist and I couldn’t breathe with the brace on it was so tight.

Replacing my previous MUELLER belt bought 15 years ago which is still functional but getting a little tired . Can feel the difference in back support already

I bought it for my mother-in-law who has problem of slip disc. She has used it for three days, few hours everyday and has been feeling a lot of comfort in the pain. Although, she has to take off the extra triangular support for lumber from the back. Nice product with two straps, which can give custom adjustment for the spine and core muscles. I recommend this product.
