Slightly Too Drying for a Toner
Hanhoo DermaFix Blemish Line was overall a somewhat disappointing collection of skincare due to its dryness and noticeable texture to the skin. Receiving both the moisturizer and the toner at the same time, they both weren’t well suited for my combination skin. Since I have tried other skincare products with calamine that worked great, it has more to do with Hanhoos formulation than the specific ingredient of calamine. In this review, I will specifically speak about the toner.To begin with, this toner requires that you shake the bottle before use to mix the calamine that has settled on the bottom of the bottle. While the look of the liquid is aesthetically pleasing, the actual practicality is somewhat questionable. While I had no issue applying this product to my face, you definitely notice the texture of the calamine once it has dried down. While added texture might not be the biggest issue for some people, it left the drier areas of my face feeling tight and irritated.When you add the companion moisturizer in the DermaFix Blemish Line, it left my skin feeling dry and texturized. The key to a good calamine moisturizer for acne-prone skin is the inclusion of lightweight acne-friendly moisturizers, which I felt the DermaFix Blemish Line didn’t have enough of. Due to this added texture and dryness, I probably won’t use the Hanhoo DermaFix Blemish toner again, but that isn’t to say it might work great for your skin.

If you have oily skin- GET THIS!
This has been such a savior for my oily acne prone skin!! It has helped heal the existing blemishes I have without overdrying, and has been non irritating. This gives the best matte finish of any non- makeup product I’ve used… And it’s so needed for me because no matter what I do with my skincare routine, diet, or makeup I wear (or don’t wear) my skin is covered in shine within such a short time. This actually keeps all that shine at bay and helps so much with the sebum production. This applies super thin and not cakey like calamine straight from the bottle. I get a nice soft matte finish where I apply this, and I feel like it also acts as a bit of a protecting barrier if I do wear makeup over it. I’m going to repurchase as soon as I’m out so I’m never without this stuff.
