Great tent for the price
This is an excellent tent for canoe camping and other outdoor adventures. I would highly recommend it.

Very pleased with this nice tent.
I don’t care for massive tents with cathedral ceilings and separate rooms. This efficient tent replaced my 25 year old Coleman of a similar (but less cool-looking) design. I really like this one! It’s a perfect size for my family of 3 + tiny dog. The airflow is great with the two large mesh doors, and the rainfly with vestibules allows for privacy and weather protection. We camped in the cold and rain this spring and the tent kept things dry and clean (thanks to the vestibules). The only improvement I’d make is to add flaps that can zip closed directly over the two large mesh doors. The rain fly isn’t enough protection from the cold and didn’t trap our body heat well. We’ll just plan to pack warmer sleeping gear next Spring or Fall, but for Summertime, it’s pretty ideal as-is.

Great desert tent!
This tent was great while camping in the Mojave and in the high desert of Utah. It’s basically a screen with a rainfly. Even with the fly on, there’s excellent ventilation–huge doors. And if a storm blows in (as it did in Southwestern Colorado), you just zip down the fly. I doubled the number of guy lines at each corner to increase its resistance to wind. The tent itself sets up in minutes; the fly is a bit more complicated, but you get better with practice. It uses buckles instead of hooks (no snagging on the take-down) and clips instead of those pole sleeves (much simpler). We even used it on a warm night in Missouri. A great tent from Eureka!, who’s been a little stagnant on innovation until now.

Indestructible
We’ve had this tent for a couple years and really put it to the test last weekend. While camping in the Davis mountains in west Texas we had a monsoon blow in with quarter-size hail, high winds and a ton of rain. A ravine had filled up and started flooding our campsite and most of our tent was actually sitting in a few inches of running water. After the storm passed and water receded we went to assess damage- everything was bone-dry including the floor. Needless to say we were shocked and impressed. Good job eureka, please keep making quality tents!

Choose a non-toxic option
Beware. I stupidly, stupidly did not read the Prop 65 warning and then realised this has got toxic chemicals in the fire retardant that most modern tents do not have. I have two young girls and wanted to go camping with them, but don’t feel comfortable using the tent. Choose something safer.

Excellent quality tent
Excellent overall quality from the zippers to the design of the overall tent. Light weight but plenty of space once you are setup.

Made in Bangladesh
It’s made in Bangladesh, not USA, as the description was stating it

A fine Eureka for four….
Eureka makes good tents. They’ve done so for years. Eureka tents have been around a long time and have earned a reputation for non-cutting-edge quality. There ar other lighter and more sophisticated designs out there, but Eurekas last and they’re reliable in a storm.I like Eureka. I have a variety of tents, including North Face and other expensive tent brands, but I generally just take my Eureka to the wilderness unless weight is a huge issue because: 1) My Eurekas are durable and withstand wind and rain well, and; 2) Eurekas aren’t quite as expensive as cutting edge tents, so I’m willing to risk them camping with young guys (and grandchildren) when I might not want to risk a more expensive tent. This is a typical dome tent. it has two crossing poles made of aluminum. It isn’t especially light at about nine pounds, and it’s a tad shorter than many other 4-man tents. But it has two good-sized enclosable vestibules, plenty of space for four inside and the floor pan is made of a nice, sturdy fabric. The tent has several higher vents in the vestibule, but the vestibule door can also be rolled up to provide ventilation below the partly-closed vestibule door. This allows thorough protection from rain for those in the tent while still permitting airflow, and fairly good rain protection for items inclosed by vestibule. Vestibules are on both sides of the tent at both of the D-shaped doors. The inside walls of the tent are mostly mesh, thus the rainfly comes nearly to the ground and is quite substantial.Eureka is advertising this as a car camping tent, probably because of the size and weight. But for travelers to wilderness areas such as the Boundary Waters Canoe Area where tent reliability is crucial and weight is not as much of a consideration, this is a great wilderness tent in my view.I had a Eureka tent like this in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area last summer and we were hit by one of the most torrential and loud thunderstorms I’ve even been out in. I was worried. My wife and I were with two of our grandchildren. The six-year old slept through it. The eight-year-old was awake and worried–as were we.The next morning there were limbs down. A portion of the hilly shoreline had been washed away–turned into a culvert by a a stream from the hills behind us that ran through our campsite. There was debris EVERYWHERE under our footprint. But there was not a drop within our Eureka tent, either from above or coming up from underneath through the floor. I love Eureka tents. If you get this tent you should really also consider getting the footprint specific to its design made by Eureka. You can find the footprint here: https://www.amazon.com/Eureka-Kohana-Person-Footprint-Camping/dp/B08QRQ9F7J
