Customers say

Customers find the camping cube easy to set up and appreciate its room size, noting it’s bigger than a Coleman 8-person tent and can accommodate a queen and full air mattress. The tent is well-built, holding up in heavy wind storms, and provides good water resistance, keeping them dry during rain. While the zippers operate smoothly, some customers find them tricky to use, and opinions on value are mixed, with some considering it a great investment while others say it’s not worth the price.

Honest Review, great tent but a few flaws
I really really struggled over giving this tent a 4 star vs. 5 star. Maybe it doesn’t matter in the end, but I carefully consider other peoples reviews when making purchases that are a bit pricey and I won’t have an opportunity to change my mind once in the woods so I’m hoping my review helps you in deciding on this tent or not. I needed a tent that would last me for several weeks and not fail. I had a limited budget and a lot to consider such as size, durability, rain resistance and ease of set up.If all you want to know bottom line up front, is this tent worth the $200+/-, yes, yes it is.It is big, allowed me to fit a queen size bed with a ton of room to spare, is tall enough and utilizes space well enough that is was truly a joy to go camping. There was no bending over or loss of space due to size. The cube shape is fantastic!Okay, so here are the benefits:• Extremely ventilated!!! The large windows and vented ceiling is a HUGE bonus, allowing for a maximum airflow you just don’t regularly experience in tents• Rain flaps around all the windows and door frame. Wow, it rained A LOT while camping and we stayed totally dry. The front rain flap is also a con but I’ll explain why later.• Tub style bottom. While it came with a very water resistant bottom, we still added a ground tarp for extra security. But again, as mentioned above, we had a couple days of non-stop rain and it stayed very dry in the tent. The floor stayed dry and the sides stayed dry.• Tall! I’m not huge at 5’8 so I had no problem. But even if I was a few inches taller I would still have plenty of head room.• Big! When we had several others camping with us we had a queen size and twin mattress side-by-side and still had room for all our bags and gear.• Material – The material is light but strong. It is also sewn very well, with even stitches and a clear adhesive tape over all the stitching to keep water out and protect the thread. The tent is pretty darn well made and while the material is a light weight tent material, I saw no signs of weakening by the end of the trip and that is with falling against the sides several times for various reasons – late night bathroom breaks and tripping and what not.• The straps and tie downs: I read several reviews about the tent not fitting peoples pop-up canopies but I just don’t see how that could be a problem if you got a straight leg 10×10 or as I got, a 10×20. The ceiling strap offers two options to accommodate whatever style pop up you have. So if you need it taller, it’s got that option. You need it shorter, has that option too! The side clasps for hooking onto the bars were easy to put on and take off. The velcro allowed enough wiggle room to make it tighter or looser. All around it should pretty well fit any pop up and you can adjust.Cons: *and as you’ll see, are pretty few*• THE FRONT ZIPPER!!!! All the window zippers were fine. Let me be clear, I had no issues with those. But the front door…. and this is why I struggled so hard with giving a 5 star rating… Not one time in the entire two weeks of using this tent did the front zipper not get caught while trying to open the doorway. EVERY SINGLE TIME it got caught. Major design flaw. It got caught right at the top or bottom where the rain guard was stitched. I was so close to just cutting the damn thing off from frustration. This is also where it makes a difference however if you don’t have an awning which if you have a 10×10 pop up and it rains, you’ll want that guard. But with my tent and pop up, I just wanted to rip it off with my teeth I was so frustrated. The zipper really sucked. Don’t get me wrong, it’s heavy duty, but is stitched terribly.• The ventilation could also be a negative. On cold nights there is no way to cover the ceiling vent. So in the summer, under a sturdy frame, it’s a blessing. But don’t be fooled, this is NOT a 3/4 season tent. It’s only really good for warm weather. Not positive or negative, just my thoughts:• The dog door. It’s not really a con, but I don’t know anyone, including myself, who will just open the door for a dog while camping and say, go ahead pooch, go on out there yourself. Or leave a dog in the tent alone and let them out the dog door. It was just kind of stupid. I can see why it might be helpful in some situations, such as if you had a cooler or shoes there, but why would you leave your shoes on the side where they could get rained on? And you really wouldn’t be able to reach inside a cooler from the bottom of the tent. I could live without it and I have dogs. I think it’s just a silly marketing ploy for people who have dogs but it’s not actually practical.• One the “benefits” is the front door mat they say comes with the tent. <_< I'll be honest with you, I laughed when I saw it. I would just throw it out. Useless. Too cheap of a material to withstand being walked on and not really a secure way to stake it down. I got a tarp large enough that I just made my own front walk to park my shoes. Next year I'll be adding an outdoor carpet and that should really do the trick.A note on popups: If you haven’t figured it out by now, this tent does not include a pop up. You have to buy that separate. And, you get what you pay for. I'll say it again. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! I would not recommend using this tent with a cheap pop up canopy. I actually looked at a few EZUP's (the same brand as the cube tent) - which this tent is made for, and thankfully decided against it. They are cheap cheap cheap. I paid $400 for my pop up and it was worth every single penny. I also took a gamble because I couldn't find anyone else that had tried it, but got a 10x20 so I would have an awning. It was so worth it. I know it's a different company and a different product, but I got the ABC Canopy Pop Up 10x20. It works really well with the tent. It's heavy duty, and while you can't really see it in the picture, the canopy itself is a much sturdier material than the cheaper EZUP and Walmart Ozark Trails versions. The frame was solid, the canopy was solid and it withstood extreme winds and rain at our campground while I saw a lot of cheaper pop ups collapse or bend or leak.I guess that’s it and up to you now and what you want to do. I hope you found this review helpful and happy camping.

Great tent- home sweet home! E-Z up…Excellent company!
UPDATE- this tent is holding up beautifully. It’s 2025 and I have had zero issues. I still use it 3-4 days every month to camp. I don’t do winter camping, no snow, but I have been in it in 36 degrees F. It’s warmer than outside but it’s still a 10 by 10 foot room. I have warm gear so it’s okay, but no condensation. Zippers are holding up terrific. Clips are working great. What I did not mention in my original review is my canopy. Get a canopy of good quality. I bought a Euromax canopy because I wanted something that was going to last for years. Some of the cheaper models just do not seem to that they would hold up for any length of time. The canopy I have is waterproof, UV 50, and comes with panels. I use them as a double wall in colder temps. The rain sheds off terrific and I am bone dry in monsoon thunderstorms. That is also going strong, purchased in 2023 also. And I can put I up by myself.Hope this update helps you.Original post-I purchased this tent in Royal Blue in February 2023. This is going to be some what a long review…First a note— this does NOT come with a canopy! You must buy a SEPARATE canopy! OK warning done.I live in Arizona, so I was able to start using it in April. I camp for about 3 to 4 days once a month (sometimes twice a month) just so you know how often I use it.So by now you have seen the little broken piece in my picture. This has a happy ending but more on that later. This tent is 10 x 10 and stands about 6’2/6’4 ish inside the ceiling of the “cube“. I’m 5’ 10 and I had no problem, plenty of room. I’m an older, fluffy kind of gal and you get to a point where camping in a tent is nice but your being on your knees for extended periods of time, and getting changed while kneeling is not OK. This tent is a huge 10 x 10 room.So this is how I set it up- I have a rug that is at the edge of my queen size, blowup, air mattress bed. This is all the way to one side of the tent. I can fit my camping chair and a small camping table as a nightstand and all of my gear on the other side and still have room to spare. I imagine that you could fit two queen beds, side-by-side (kind of cramped,) but it would work.I have four side panels that I put up when it’s particularly rainy/windy during monsoon season, so I cannot verify if the walls were directly wet- are they waterproof? I imagine so, they have a sunscreen type silver lining on all the inside walls, including the windows. Also retains some of the heat on the cooler nights especially that it is a 10 x 10 room. Drawback is that the ceiling in the “cube” (which is literally a box from top to bottom and side to side.) does not have this silver lining and has a vent screen directly in the middle. Kind of bummed they should’ve thought about that also. This allows center screen is for ventilation and there was no condensation inside any time I used it.The three side windows open wide, along with the door window, and air flow is amazing! I keep my tent zippered all the time. I do not like critters or flying bugs in my mouth when I sleep. But the windows are an excellent source of ventilation. On the hottest days it also allows the tent to cool very quickly. It has a bathtub the floor with a decent tarp like flooring. However, I still put a tarp underneath that to stop the rain and the dampness, and any rock puncture that my floor might encounter. Call me cautious. A decent thickness to the tent walls.Stitching is reinforced in all the corners and the corner truss areas as well. And that brings me to my picture. The small gray broken object is a truss that hangs the tent on the canopy. I was tightening the tent and it broken in half. This piece is on a very nice piece of canvas strap that I am unable to remove as it is reinforced in the corners of the “cube.” Therefore, I was very disappointed. !!! However, here’s the good news! I wrote to the E-Z UP company in regards to the warranty on this tent, (since I only had it since February,) and they were very concerned that this happened and offered a brand new tent at no charge with free shipping! It was a pleasure to work with somebody who stood behind their product.People are amazed at my camping cube and always asked to see it. In this review I probably didn’t even get into most of the features this has…. it’s pretty awesome.A few notes: Outside zip hole for an extension cord. A doggie door- I don’t have a dog so I don’t use it…although I find other reviews that people put their air-conditioning vent through that hole. I’m not quite there with AC. Rings that go around the inside edge of your tent for lighting or hanging cords or whatever. A GIANT door that unzips all the way around. One drawback with the door is that the water flaps that are around the zipper edge of the door kind of get caught in the zipper, which is a little annoying, but doable. I just use one side anyway.I’m happy to answer questions that you might have. Get out there and do some camping!

    Great value
Exactly what I wanted. There was a mishap that led to the removal of the awning on our RV. I wanted a screen porch feeling with rain protection for our outdoor mini fridge. We camp for two months in the summer. Who knew the dog door was such an asset? We use portable fences and the door is a huge plus. One dog went in and put 20 times trying to convince the other dog to use it. Clearly, it’s dog approved (and well tested). I read reviews so I say a quick prayer to the zipper gods and so far I haven’t had a problem with the door zipper getting stuck. I am also learning patience because I zip the door slowly (there is a lot of protective fabric). We hang our clothes line inside easily. With all the windows open, there is a nice breeze. It’s waterproof and my husband easily set it up himself (the same can’t be said for the canopy or any tent we’ve owned so this is a breeze). It’s lightweight and easy to pack in our vehicles.

    EZup Tent is Great
The EZup tent is amazing. There is plenty of floor space for a multiple campers and still have room for gear. The floor material is very durable but I still put a ground cloth underneath. All of the zippers on the tent work freely and did not catch. Having this under a pop up canopy gives you a layer of protection from rain or hot sun. The tent does have a mesh top so make sure your canopy is waterproof. I recommend using stake out lines with your canopy if using this in high winds. The included storage bag is large enough to easily store the tent after folding it up. You don’t have to struggle to fit it in the bag. The tent included stakes to secure the bottom of the tent to the ground.
