Customers say
Customers find the tent spacious enough to fit four queen-size mattresses, easy to set up, and well worth the money. Moreover, the tent effectively keeps them dry in rainstorms, with one customer noting no interior moisture buildup at night. However, the quality receives mixed feedback – while some praise the high-quality materials, others report issues with flimsy stakes. Similarly, the zipper quality and water resistance also get mixed reviews, with some finding them decent while others report poor zippers and leaks after the first rain.

Best tent ever
Man this this is a beast I love the tub floor, the rain fly is the best feature it is completely lifted off the entire tent but covers EVERYTHING, had a storm last night and stayed all the way dry not the slightest bit of moisture inside the tent. The windows are big and there are a lot of them, two doors is awesome, very easy to put to get her and very well made, I also really love how tall it is and there is not one spot on the inside of the tent that I cannot stand without touch the tent in my head I’m 6’3 I e never had a tent that didn’t rub my head this one doesn’t…. Also I love the dark colored floor cause white gets dirty. The way the fly stakes down is cool AF cause it’s up off the ground and you can use the door flaps and huge window flaps for like awnings there are four of those. I mean there really isn’t enough I can say the top is ventilated very well it’s the best tent and I love it… I’ll definitely buy again.

Two years in and we’d definitely buy it again
We’ve had this tent for about two years now and have been really happy with it. It’s relatively quick to put up given its size, and it’s stayed dry even in downpours. There are three of us plus a Great Dane who use it, and it feels very spacious – we place three twin-size air mattresses and a large dog bed along the edges and still have lots of room for gear and plenty of open floor space to use in the middle. The curtain that separates the tent into two “rooms” is useful when the dog is wet and we want to limit her to one side. The high ceiling makes it feel more like a small cabin than a tent, so it’s a comfortable place to hang out when the weather takes a turn. Although it’s got a large footprint, we’ve never had trouble setting it up at even smallish tent sites. I do wish there were more hanging pocket around the edges for things like glasses and flashlights, and the zipper covers can make it a bit of a struggle to quickly open the door at times, but those are minor things. We’re overall really happy with our choice and would definitely recommend this tent.

Easily the best two room cabin tent IMHO
Tent kept us completely dry through almost 5 straight days of heavy rain and big storms. There was a short dry spell on day 3 that did let us shake off the rain fly and reset a bit. There were a couple of drops that made it past the rain fly onto the outside of the tent on that Day 3, but nothing got inside the tent itself. The double vestibules were awesome, loved the flexibility they allowed. Set-up was easy as these big cabin tents go. This is my third tent of this size and the first to come with the side stabilizing poles which definitely helped tremendously during the big storm gusts. The tent stakes could use an upgrade, the room divider was sort of useless. But altogether this is the best two room cabin tents I’ve had so far

HUGE palace, thoughtful design, one possibly major FLAW (and a few issues)
I am an avid hiker, camper, and wilderness backpacker and regularly organize camping events for as many as 45 participants. My family also will be growing to 4 (with a potential for a 5th coming in the near future), and so I wanted a larger tent to house two families comfortably with up to 10 members (4-6 of whom would be adults.) Tents I have purchased in the past were made by Sierra Designs, Big Agnes, MSR, REI, Columbia, and less expensive ones like Coleman, depending on the purpose of the trip. The CORE 9 Extended Dome tent is one of my favorite, family-sized ones (although it has a few issues, such as a door that’s mildly difficult to operate and a slight lack of ventilation for the hot summer days), and I was excited to purchase the CORE 11 Cabin Tent with Screen Room. Why? The ability to have the screen room allow for air to cool the main cabin, and for the kids to enjoy lounging safely away from mosquitoes. I was EXCITED! Alas, I ended returning the tent for a few reasons.PROS- Very large capacity (can hold up to 9 or 10 adults comfortably)- Separate screen room whose mesh panels can be zipped closed, instantly turning that section into its own sleeping quarters- Screen room keeps the bugs out while letting air circulate through the warmer main cabin- Screen room has a full tent floor- Plenty of air ventilation for both the screen room (obviously) and the main cabin (which has a panoramic, mesh ceiling). Absolutely LOVED how the air flowed throughout!- Mostly easy to set up, though the main poles required some force to lock into place (I set up the tent by myself)- Excellent color design- Adjustable vents for the main cabin- Water resistant (though I did not get a chance to test that)- Generously-sized carry bag. I do not remember seeing that mine was expandable as described in the product listing on Amazon- Electrical access port for RV campers- Bright-orange guy lines for increased visibility (ever tripped on those at night before?)- Gear loft with lantern hooks, although it’ll be quite high up for shorter people to reach- Very generous height (up to 7′), allowing most occupants to stand straight up- Multiple pockets in the main cabin and screen room that are higher off the ground for easier reach- Can fit up to 3 queen-sized air mattresses (2 in the main cabin and 1 in the screen room)- Thoughtful design: poles are color-coded, the loops where the poles meet the bottom of the tent (and stakes are secured through) make it easier for the poles to be attached (PHOTO A), and the plastic where the poles meet comes with its own carry pouch to help minimize damage to the tent fabric (PHOTO B)- Rain fly to keep rain out- Fairly quick disassemblyCONS- Heavy at 43 lbs- Bottom of tent is not lined like a bath tub to keep rain water out- Footprint not included (most tents don’t). If you get one, be sure it is not larger than the tent itself so water won’t pool up- No separate entrance to the main cabin without having to go through the screen room, making it less convenient to be used as two, separate sleeping quarters- No separation wall for the main cabin to split it into 2 “rooms” (which would also require 2 doors opposite the screen room)- VERY large tent may not fit some camp sites- A piece of the fabric EASILY tore when I pulled one of the stakes out (where the center of the screen room door is – see PHOTO C). Lesson learned: don’t pull by the tent, but by the black loop instead. This gives me great concern about the durability of the rest of the tent where the stakes are staked through. None of my other tents ripped like this by pulling the way I didTIPS- Keep the footprint smaller than the size of the tent to keep the rain water from pooling- Ensure the tent is not twisted where the stakes are. A twisted area can help rain water enter the tent- When putting away the poles, take them apart from the center out to help ensure the elastic band does not overstretch over time- When putting the poles through the designated areas of the tent, PUSH them through instead of pulling. Makes assembly/disassembly much easier and faster- To easily fold the tent away, this technique has worked with practically every tent I have owned: the folded poles’ length are usually the same size as the carry bag (PHOTO D). With that in mind, I use the folded poles to roll the tent up (see PHOTO E). Once folded, the tent should fit easily into the carry bag (PHOTO F). I learned this technique after having struggled with the Sierra Design tent whose carry bag was not very easy to pack withFINAL THOUGHTSOverall, I really love the generous size and air ventilation of the tent. The ability to have air circulate throughout the main cabin was one of the major reasons I was so excited to buy it, and the screen room was a very welcome feature. However, after a very painful decision process and discussion with my wife, we ultimately decided to return it for the following reasons:- It may be too big for most camp sites we go to. We would hate to be stuck at a site that would not allow the tent to fit- The tent easily ripped at the tent floor/tent junction when I removed a stake from the soft ground by pulling on the tent. This gave us a big concern about the durability of the fabric- No separate entrance to the main cabin without going through the screen roomThe CORE 10 Instant Cabin with Screen Room may be a better compromise between this CORE 11 and the CORE 9 I already own, but I cannot justify the price the CORE 10 commands. If the company can create a smaller version of the non-instant CORE 11 or CORE 9 with a screen room big enough to house perhaps 2 chairs (but most importantly, allowing air to circulate the main cabin via said room), I would seriously consider getting it. Even better, including a room divider with separate main cabin doors, and that would become my perfect, family-sized tent. One can wish! For now, the CORE 9 Extended Dome will have to do.

Glad we purchased this tent!!
Bought this tent for our family of four. It is large enough to fit four queen size mattress’s. We used two queen mattress’s and used the remaining space for camping storage. It was easy to setup for one person. It took less than 30 minutes for set up. It takes two people to install the rain cover and a little difficult to figure out which way is front. After taking the tent down everything fit back in the bag it came in, which is always an issue with tents.

I bought it 25 days ago before leaving on a road trip from the East Coast to the West Coast. First everything was find and suitable for my family of 6. Once we hit rain after 10 days, the desaster began. Rain was coming in by the rain fly and floded a part of the tent during the night. The next morning I realized that the seal apply under the sewings was peeling off and forced us to finish our trip sleeping in the truck and at the hotel 40 hours drive from home causing us extra costs. I was desapointed as I had took my time before buying it to make sure I was buying the right thing. The complete rain fly was the most important thing that I considered at the time of the purchase. I had a very cheap 4 places tent before and never had any issues…Very desapointed and asked for a refund.

On Monday July 15th I ordered the CORE 10 Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent With Full Rain Fly to replace my Coleman 12 man tent that the fly tore during a storm due to being a little sun damaged from 3 years of being setup during camping season. There weren’t many reviews on this particular tent, but I wanted one with a full fly as my tent sits out in the weather from May to October. The price was reasonable, and it looked fairly well made at that price point. On Friday July 19th I drove the 4 hours to our camp site. Took down the old tent and proceeded to setup the new one. When I got to put on the fly, I found that one of the gromets were missing for the pole to support the awning over the back door. I couldn’t leave it like this due to weather coming in. So I took a peg. Heated it up and melted a small hole where the gromet should be, stuck a washer over the end of the pole so it can’t push through. I’ll be installing a gromet this weekend. The concerning part is I submitted a support ticket (90265) through their website on the 23rd. The purpose was not to seek compensation or an exchange but to bring the issue to their attention. It is now Friday July 26th and no response from CORE and I’m seriously questioning if CORE will ever respond. So fair warning to all others that CORES support is definitely lacking in the response times.

I ordered two of these tents since we were camping in Northern Ontario for the week of Thanksgiving. Wanted a tent that had a full fly to help keep the heat in since we knew the temp was going to drop into minus territory. It’s made well, good quality, large enough for two queen mattresses. The only thing lacking was there is no loops or anything around the top to hold anything to hang. (Lights, or line to dry towels and such). It also did a great job of not holding moisture. Didn’t wake up to any water on the inside, which I have had with other brands.Other than that it was fantastic. Highly recommend.

This tent is fantastic. There are only 2 of us and we have so much room. During a big storm we were comfortably able to set up our antigravity chairs to read and play cards. Easy to put up. My husband did it on his own one weekend when I had to arrive much later. We looked for a long time when we had to replace our last tent which was a Woods. This definitely ticks all the boxes and then some for what we wanted.
