Customers say

Customers find this tent to be a fantastic fair weather tent that’s easy to set up alone and keeps them dry in the rain. They appreciate its roominess with a full-size cot inside, and one customer notes it has 20% more headroom. While the rainfly works great and the tent holds up well against wind gusts, some customers report that the rainfly pole broke. Customers disagree on the heat retention, with some noting it gets hot in warm weather.

    Nice tent
This is it mostly assembled, but without the front awning popped up. It also comes with a rain fly. I would recommend buying a tarp to put underneath it because the floor is never thick enough. It is realistically a 4 person tent. Extremely easy to set up and take down because the bag comes with an expander so you just have to get it rolled up small, not squished all the way down to factory size.

    GREAT TENT!!!
We used this tent every single week this past summer, from mid June through the end of August, with the number of nights varying from 2 to 4 nights. The tent worked well! I use a queen air mattress and my tween son uses a single air mattress. The door was plenty big enough to get the inflated airmattress into the tent with no issues, There was over about a foot of space between our two mattresses, as well as over a foot of space between the matresses and the end of the tent which was perfect for our clothing and such. Through the course of the summer, we dealt with as low as mid 30’s temps at night all the way up to 105 during the day, depending on where we were camping. Also dealt with tremendous wind and rain, as we were caught a few times in some pretty serious thunderstorms, wind storms and downpours. The inside of the tent stayed nice and dry. But, I DEFINITELY would STRONGLY suggest that you use the tiedowns on the fly if there is a chance of much wind, as in one of the serious thunder/rain/windstorms that we got caught in, the sustained winds were 20mp, with gusts up to 50mph. I had not done the fly tyedown as the day before, and earlier that day the weather was perfect. The storms were only supposed to be a 15% chance, and came out of nowwhere. The tent nearly fully collapsed with us inside of it due to the wind. My son held it up while I secured the tyedowns into place. Once I did that, the wind was no issue for the tent! Definitely a 5 star tent for us!!!

    Overall a really good tent.
I bought this in a whim for an impromptu camping trip. I have not had any issues and I like how much space it gives you. Very comfortable and Coleman has kept up to its name.

Set it up for 3 days and it stormed and dropped about 1″ of rain tptal and it didn’t leak.
I just purchased the Coleman Skydome Camping Tent with Full-Fly Weather Vestibule 4 person, and extended vestibule., On this one the fly goes all the way to the ground, and there is room to sit inside the vestibule with 2 camp chairs. It’s been airing out for 3 days so the tarp smell is not as strong, and isn’t objectionable. It arrived with all parts and nothing broken. While I’ve had it up we’ve had 2 thunderstorms with about a total of 1″ rain and no leaks. I believe its going to meet all of my needs for myself and my labrador retriever, and I like that when its raining you can open the vestibule to go in and out with rain coming down inside your tent. I think that if I lived in a warmer climate, I might worry about air flow, but I live in the Rocky Mtns of CO at 7450′ and camp at even higher elevations, where it is even cooler. I’ll be able to leave the upper portion of the door unzipped to reveal the screen and leave the front of the vestibule rolled up to get more air, if needed. The only thing I didn’t like was that the sides of the rainfly didn’t have a way to stake out the fly away from the inner tent for more airflow, but I was able to fix that by using tarp clamps with twine attached, then staked out to pull the fly away from the inner wall. I’ve been looking for something like this for about a year now, and I like that I can stand up in it to change clothes with only slightly stooping. (I’m 5’5″) I have 4 other tents of varying sizes, and this will be my 2nd Coleman. My other Coleman is an 8 person with 2 rooms, and an attached screen room that I’ve had for about 15 years and am happy with. I also like that the storage bag it came with has an expandable bottom so it is easy to get everything back into the bag with room to spare.

    Great for my needs!
I’m new to solo camping and this tent is perfect! I’m a car camper, so size is not an issue for me. I’ve used it a few times so far, once with a friend as well. It’s very large and roomy alone and a perfect size for 2 with enough room to move around a bit. Not quite tall enough to stand up in for me. I am 5’9. But it’s tall enough to stand hunched to get dressed. The rain fly works great and kept me dry in the rain on my last trip! It’s super easy to set up on my own as someone not used to setting up tents. I use it with a tent carpet flooring. The vestibule is handy, but the little door mat it comes with is useless. My only complaint is that it’s pretty much impossible for me to get it all back in the bag it comes in. I’m sure that’s pretty par for the course, so I’m not docking any stars for it.

    Great recreational tent.
This tent is great! I love the vestibule and the space inside. It is easy to set up. The only downfall is no windows, but the inside dome of the tent is all mesh. It does get warm in the sun, but I would think most people are not in a tent in the middle of the day. It has not leaked and is a nice family tent for recreational camping.

    Great All weather tent!
I bought three of these tents to camp in Yellowstone national park in early May. The weather was extremely cold when we first arrived. 29 degrees at night. It did very well keeping the wind out! We also had a severe thunderstorm one day- NO LEAKS!! We usually will reinforce the seams for water before we leave on any trip but we did not and they were perfect! Very happy with this purchase! Had no problems at all. Also it was easy to set up. I put me and my husband’s tent up by myself while he helped the kids put theirs up. Overall great tent. Lots of room also. We had a queen size air mattress with plenty of space on both sides for our extra stuff!!

Wszystko ok. jak w opisie, dokleiłem tylko różowe wstążki do śledzi żeby nie zostawić w trawie. Na początku wszyscy się śmieli a później zazdrościli.

First off, I got this tent because it had great reviews and I don’t regret it!! I’ve been camping for 3 weeks and I came across strong winds, lots and lots of rain and heavy at times and not a drop of water inside. I also made like an awning with the porch door because I keep my window open and I can see. The porch is huge and nothing gets wet under it. I have a queen size air mattress, a little side table and porta potty and i still have lots of room to move around. I also love how big the door is and lots of storage. I recommend this tent 1000%, it is waterproof like described. If for some reason you have a leak its because its defective. I would definitely by this one again.
