Customers say
Customers find the tent easy to set up, taking just a few minutes, and appreciate its durability, with the rain fly holding up well and it standing up to wind. The tent is lightweight and perfect for compact travel, while staying dry during rain events. They consider it good value for money and suitable for weekend camping, with one customer noting it’s great for two people without gear inside. The fit receives mixed feedback – while some say it fits nicely back into the bag, others find it too big for a single person.

Amazing tent that is well made and spacious
This tent is the best tent I have ever owned. The Chinese did a great job designing it. It is so simple to set up took me about 10 min tops with another 5 putting on the rain fly. While the rainfly is rated well no tent is completely waterproof. It does great to keep you dry in light showers but heavier rainfall causes the water to begin to seep through and you will get wet and have puddles but like I said that’s with all tents. I find spraying water repellent like the one made for shoes adds a bigger line of defense and helps it dry faster after rain so you can easily pack it up and not get your pack wet. I recommend getting 2 amazon basic 5×10 waterproof tarps they are very affordable and well made. You can place one under your tent to help protect from holes and you can tie one above your tent to keep you dry in heavy rain and it offers shade. If you are a couple or share your tent with a friend I recommend you pay a few extra bucks and get the 4 person tent. It’s very light and fits in your pack or tied to the outside at the top or bottom. I can wait to try out all tents and equipment. Yo won’t be disappointed and by getting a 4 person tent you have plenty o room to store your packs coolers and any gear you may have.

Great tent for the value. Roomy and durable.
This tent is a great value. There are certainly more compact tents that are lighter too for backpacking. But if you’re not going all of the time and don’t have hundreds to spend on the higher level tents, this one does just fine. The rain fly has extra room to keep packs dry. The zippers look like they’ll last. It’s slightly roomier than another similar brand I’ve slept in. I sleep comfortably with my wife in this tent.

Pretty good, packs down small
This tent works pretty good. It has a lot of room. I had a two person MoonLens tent before that was a lot easier to set up, but fitting two people and a dog into it was a little tight. This one has plenty of room. The rain fly buckles on, which is extremely nice. The big thing I wish it did is that it had clips for the poles rather than a sleeve. Most tents use sleeves, and this one is no different. My MoonLens tent uses clips, which I can do one-handed while hanging onto my dog’s leash with the other. The clips allow you to put the two ends of the poles in the correct holes and clip the tent up rather than feeding it through the sleeve. Because this one uses a sleeve, I will say it is easier with two people doing it, and it took me about 45 minutes doing it by myself in the wind. So if it’s windy, you could definitely use help. The other issue I had was that the zipper ties that you grab to open and close the zipper fell off extremely easily. I think we lost them all by the end of the trip, and the zipper is a lot harder to use without them. It’s not a huge issue, but definitely an inconvenience that I typically have not had with tents I’ve used in the past.It fits back in its carrying bag. It’s not the easiest tent to put back in its bag, but it’s not the worst tent either. Overall, it’s a functionable average tent. In my opinion it doesn’t have any features like the MoonLens tents that make it stand out, but there is no significant issues with it. I will continue to use it for canoe camping trips because it does fit in a pack well and folds down small.

Great starter tent.
Great tent, had a four day camping trip. Got rained on heavily two nights. No leaks, although four or five drops on my head that could have come from the vents. Great $70 dollar two man tent for camper’s just getting started. Zippers seemed quality, no hang ups. Side note, I got the Bisinna tent footprint for two man tents and I would recommend picking one up. Easy to set up and take down. Might also want to replace the guy lines with some reflective paracord.

Kept us dry in the pouring rain
We’ve taken this backpacking twice so far, including once in the pouring rain (we had a tarp under). It’s definitely heavy, it’s also HUGE when it’s set up, but it works great! The quality seems really good, especially given the price point. I wish it came in a 3 person size. It’s just 2 of us + a large dog and there’s a lot of extra space, even with all our gear inside the tent. But I think the 2 person would’ve been too small. Overall though we’re really happy with this as an introductory tent.

Caught in snow storm. Worked great!!!
Just took it on backpacking trip. We got caught in a winter storm. Snow, rain, freezing temperatures. No leaks, no damage. Stable in high winds. Design is not very tall on the inside. Fast set up.

A first rate backpacking tent that’s a steal for the money
I bought this tent for my son a few years ago. He tried it it out on the Appalachian trail in both cold and warm conditions in North Georgia. He took it to Iceland for a 2 week camping trip around the Island including backpacking in the very remote Hornstrandir region with crazy weather and winds and shared with a friend. It held up fine and they had no problems. The next summer, he car camped and backpacked solo around southern Norway for two weeks and experienced some heavy rain. Held up great. The only issue was one of the buckles broke on the rain fly, so he just had to rig it up by tying it instead of buckling. Other than that, it’s still in great shape. He’s also used in Florida for several short trips. We just sprayed it with waterproofing since it’s been 3 years, and was due. It’s lightweight, easy to set up, and can hold two grown men comfortably, or be used solo, but certainly doesn’t qualify as extra light. But less than 5 lbs for what you get is an absolute steal!
