M runs like a boys size 8
I ordered two different sizes for my 9.5 year old. He’s tall and slim. The M fit like a size 8, and the L fit well. I’ll be keeping the M for my 6.5 year old instead. That size fits him very nicely.

Run small, but nice
They run small almost returned, but needed them for this summer. Our son is 5T thin/tall or boys 4/5 and these just fit so would size up. They washed fine and fit good.
