Excellent find
I use this pale for our doggies poop bags and a family members disposable incontinent pads. Prior to this I had a garbage bin out in the garage awaiting pick up twice a week. The smell started to increase as the weather warmed up and I felt we needed a better solution. This pail does it. I emptied it twice a week using regular garbage bags that have odor buster properties so no special bags needed. Yes, you can smell the odor when you slide open the top hatch to dispose, but it is completely gone once you close the lid. Such an improvement from our previous system. The fact that this is metal and not plastic, like our garbage cans, means it can be easily cleaned and the odor removed if necessary. It is compact but holds a lot and would easily accommodate more, but I empty it when our trash day comes. There are lots of video reviews that demonstrate how it works that I found helpful prior to purchasing this.

Worth every penny
I had never purchased a diaper pale but now that I have a toddler and newborn in diapers I needed to find a better way of handling so many diapers without having to leave the house multiple times a day to take them to the garbage containers. I has previously tried regular trash bins with lids and the smell always permeates.This diaper pale is worth every penny, it contains the smell inside and is big enough to hold more than just diapers. My favorite part is that it doesn’t need any special bags so I’m not wasting more money on literal trash. The inside is going to smell, obviously, that is the function of the diaper pale after all, to contain the smells inside. If you want to prevent the smell from becoming worse just make sure you empty out the diaper pale every night and you can also place baking soda inside to help absorb the smell and switch it out every month.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The best diaper pail you will ever need. We previously used a diaper genie and it broke so fast. This was easy to use , just open the lid and put trash bags, no buying extra special bags. We love this diaper genie. It holds a lot of diapers

Can use kitchen trash bags
We bought this trash can for our first child, and loved it we bought it again for our second child. Does not require special bags. We use normal size kitchen bags in the trash. Has a lever that holds the bag in place, so no random falling into the bin. We have a 3 month old and are able to change the bag once a week (he is also watched outside of the house during normal work week). Can hold a lot and no lingering smell. If too full, it can be difficult to pull out of the bin, but it is a great workout and we have conquered it. We keep one trash can in each of the kid’s room and will consider getting another for a different level of the house. It does its job.

Great Looking & Functional – But Not Without Flaws
After two weeks of use, I can confidently say the Ubbi stainless steel diaper pail does exactly what it promises. The biggest standout feature—and what truly sets it apart from most others—is that it works with regular kitchen trash bags. No more being locked into overpriced, proprietary refills. That alone makes it a winner in my book. In fact, the ability to use your own bags can help offset the higher upfront price of the pail over time.Another big plus is the design. It’s compact, sleek, and comes in tons of color options. Ours looks great in the nursery, and we don’t feel the need to hide it away in a bathroom. Performance-wise, it holds in odors very well when used properly, which is critical with a newborn in the house.That said, there are a few trade-offs. The opening at the top is quite small, so you have to roll or fold diapers up tightly to get them in cleanly. The overall size could also be larger—we find our one-month-old fills it up in about 5–6 days, which isn’t quite enough to make it to the weekly trash pickup.Once full, removing the trash bag can be tricky. It gets snug inside, and there’s definitely a risk of tearing the bag during removal—though to be fair, that’s likely a common issue across diaper pails. Also, they recommend not using water or cleaning products to clean, which seems unrealistic if a mess happens—wiping it down alone may not be enough.Another notable issue is securing the trash bag. The inner ring that holds the bag in place is the same small size as the opening, so the large trash bag opening tends to pop out as diapers accumulate. I solved this by tying a knot in the bag underside the ring, but it’s a bit of a workaround. Finally, I’ve noticed other reviews mentioning the plastic components can break over time, which does make me question long-term durability.Still, for the convenience, looks, odor control, and long-term savings on bags, this is one of the better diaper pails out there.

Best diaper pail!
It is half the size I thought it would be but holds WAY more than I expected. We take it out approximately once a week when it is full. ZERO smell coming from or inside the pail. It is great quality. Does not easily dent and we have been using it every day for months without any issues with the seal or the bag holder. It is easy to use! I love that we can just use regular trash bags of our choice and not have to hunt for or order special bags. I heard a lot of poor reviews for competing brands like the Diaper Genie but I don’t regret this purchase! It is more affordable and goes on sale often! We live in an apartment and do not produce a lot of trash so we don’t have to take out our primary trash can often so it is convenient for our lifestyle to keep it separate.

Coworker Loved!
Ordered for a coworkers baby shower. Very fast shipping. Large but lightweight, I was able to carry it in myself. Coworker said she absolutely loves it and that it works wonders! Easy to use and clean and holds diaper smells down to a very minimum…almost non-existent. Great Purchase!

My son is 13 weeks now, been using this diaper pail since day one. His nursery is currently in our bedroom, and I can truly say that this it really traps the scent. You can’t smell anything! Holds a good amount of diapers, and I LOVE that you can use any kind of garbage bag in there. The ones we’re using are 25L but you can go one size up. The matte black matches the rest of his furniture too 👍🏻

Bought two of the exact same diaper pail. One for upstairs and one for the main floor. It’s a higher cost up front but it looks good, it’s high quality and you don’t have to buy the diaper pail specific bag. If you’re at the beginning of your baby making journey, this diaper pail will come out cheaper than some of the competitors on the market due to the cost of bag refills. We’ve had no problems with dirty diapers stinking up the room yet. We just use the kitchen liner bags from Costco.

Great bin that fits quite a lot of nappies. The smell is definitely reduced using the bin, but temper expectations as smells are still there. It doesn’t ‘remove’ it altogether. I doubt any bin would regardless of their claims. This one seals the smell really well though.
